We pretty much walked to our death during the two days that we stayed in San Francisco. We wanted to do as much as possible with the time we had in hand. Besides visiting tourists spots, I simply loved just walking around the city and be surprised with whatever that came up.  On our way we saw a huge yarn shop and went in and bought a scarf pattern, some funky hat shop that looked like it had existed forever, cheese store, independent book shops, tailor shops that makes clothes the old way, that is, pick a pattern and take your measurements and have them done just for you, antique stores, vintage shops, and many many weird shops that were just endlessly entertaining.
