Couple of outfits from lately!

I love leather jackets, this particular one is a old zara jacket that I've had for a while. It seems to be getting better and better with age as the leather loosens up and becomes softer and more comfortable to wear!

Also today I finally took my Tory Burch tote out of the closet. I've had it for over a year, it seems that if I don't start wearing it soon, it will start growing mold!

Have you ever been to Marugame Monzo at Little Tokyo? I finally got to try it today, the Udon was made freshly in house, they were amazing!

For some reason I always see this dog when I go to intelligensia, and I really don't go there all that often!

Hipster land plus great coffee, I really have no complaints there:)

Also, I scored these two amazing vintage leather clutch while walking around, they were $28 each, not so bad at all! I'm looking forward to some fun night out with these two cuites:)

LA always feel much more like home to me than Orange County, once in a while I like to make the drive and go back to recharge!

Dim sum with my friend today, it was so good to meet and talk to girlfriends.

There's nothing that can brighten my day, and my outfit, like a pair of high heel shoes with cute bows. 

I'm not very good at grasping office attire, but at least I tried!  Lately there has been a lot of stress in my life. I've started a new job in a field that I know pretty much nothing of, my husband has filed for divorce and moved out for a while, and the neighborhood that I live in has had an astronomical amount of robberies that's been keeping us all on very thin nerves.  On top of it all, I was attacked by some pretty vicious mosquitos last night and had 8 hand sized bites covering both of my lower legs in its entirety. My legs have gotten so swollen that I could barely stand up.
BUT! I was up and about.

The way I see it, if I don't go on normally, my puppies really suffers. They are already feeling the stress of the household, so I'd like to keep their lives at least somewhat normal by taking them on routine walks. It's a very good thing to have somebody in your life that you care about, and I love my pups a whole lot! 

I think every bakelite lover should own a cherry brooch, after searching for a long time, I finally found mine:)

I picked up some make up today because my old ones are starting to empty out. 

After I had already got everything I needed, I picked up this Bobbi Brown lip crayon on my way out. Absolutely loved the color, and the name is Harlow Red, it really doesn't get much better than this, doesn't it? 

With a whole plate of hot mess on my hands right now, but I am thankful for a few things, one of them is that I haven't lost my optimism, another is I haven't given up on my sense of style:)

I hosted a small afternoon tea party with a couple of girlfriends over the weekend. It was quite a lot of fun!

Why Thursday broiled chicken night of course!

If you live in California, it's almost silly to go to another place, say, Hawaii, just to enjoy the ocean. This year with all the crazy things going on in our lives, we've put off traveling, but it seems just as nice to go to a travel destination to have some fun, act like a tourist, and then drive right back home in 20 minutes!

Since I didn't have much class, I whipped out my camera when the food was served on the table. I love the presentation. My appetizer was white asparagus soup with caviar. While my hubby ordered oysters, this particular oyster dish really took it to the next level.

I was a bit disappointed that the floor windows were closed due to cold weather, otherwise we could have gotten wonderful ocean air while we dined.

Somewhere in France I picked up the habit of ordering cheese as dessert at the end of a meal. I do it whenever the option was offered at restaurant. This particular combination was very tasty, it's a lot more fun than than just order a slice of pie or cake, as a cheese plate with preserves offer so much more surprises!

At last we got this as a surprise. We had a small celebration but this gesture from the restaurant was super nice!

I've recently had to cram for an exam for work and that pretty much resulted in me walking around like a total bum everyday and my house in complete chaos.

The weather has been nice though, other than a few earthquakes here and there, while the rest of world is thawing, California spring has arrived!

I noticed a few days ago that the new leaves had sprout out from the trees on our street. It looked quite fantastic!

Now, off to spend some quality time with my little man!
