One of my favorite blogger Susannah Conway did a interview with Swedish artist Camilla Engman quite a while back that I thought was very interesting and inspiring. I always like to read about musicians and artists' creative process, listening to speck of stories about how they find their inspirations and have a peak into their wonderful lives. Check it out here!

More cooking tonight, because I didn't want to read accounting text book on sunday evening... at least for a couple hours. Boyfriend and I have developed a system, I cook, he does the dishes, which works out for me because I love cooking and hate cleaning up! Tonight's dinner, chicken, squash soup, cucumber salad and green salad, plus pink lemonade.

Saturday night home cooking. Work usually gets easier when the weather is nice because this is usually when parents start to take their kids on more weekend fun activities and that means I get to have some extra free time like today, finishing working at 3 pm instead of 6. In an attempt to eat healthier, I decided to go back to home cooking. Tonight's dinner was salmon, artichoke and a simple salad, it took hardly any time at all.
In order to earn some extra credit for my class I attended a meeting at school last night that featured several mentors talking about careers, success and even about how to maintain relationship with your partner while accomplishing your goals in life. I actually walked out with a few really good tips and wisdoms.
After the meeting boyfriend and I went for some pasta dinner, I was so happy with finishing this week that I had half glass of margarita. That was my first glass in three years and tasted so good.

I haven't disappeared from the face of earth yet but I have been super busy. Between going to school, preparing for quizzes, exams, doing homework, teaching, doing house chores, jury duty, practicing the piano, taking care of a puppy dog, trying to stay in shape and working out at least couple times a week, there really isn't any time left for anything else. It's been such a long while since I lug out my high heel shoes and lipsticks and eye liners that I have no idea where they are hiding in the house anymore. I'm beginning to feel it might be a bit too much to do so many different things and still try to do well on all of them, it's really hard to make the switch one minute from being a piano student playing Gaspard de la nuit and next to a piano teacher of little kids and the next? Thinking about volume and spending variances and come up with a cash budget! Oh, how I wish to have a single care free day when I can worry over nothing and just relax!

Last night was one of those nights that after I finish my evening class at 9:30 pm there was still a long to-do list left undone on my calendar. So I decided to get some dinner-breakfast at Denny's and work my way down the list and finish some homework. There's sometimes a college student or two that bring their books to the table trying to pull an all nighter, especially when it's final time, and I almost always see a lonely old man sitting in the restaurant having some late dinner, then just sits there for quite sometimes in idleness before they leave. I wonder if they have anyone to go home to? A family member? A dog? The waiters in graveyard shifts are always the same, and they remember me by my face, and usually would chat up to me and ask how I had been, whether I was studying late again, and things like that. I bet they were curious about what I do. This time around I said I wasn't going to stay up late and I'd been busy.
After some generic chicken strips and a few homework exercises later I left for home, the city was fast asleep, houses and buildings all looked somewhat old and crummy at this hour of night, and I felt like I was the only girl in the city who was still up and driving around.
