I saw Tapped last night, a documentary about the bottled water industry in the U.S., It was very educational and disturbing at the same time. I will never drink bottled water again, both for the benefit or my own health and the environment.

Lunch at Alcove cafe, it's a beautiful little restaurant with delicious food! I went thrifting after lunch and scored this vintage Bottega Vaneta for $20. Give me a pat on the back please:)

What's been on my mind lately? Furniture! These are a few things that I love(I'm allowed to dream a little, right?), but where does the Eames Chair come in? Can you mix and match different styles of furniture?

I've also been thinking a lot about shelter animals lately, sometimes I feel that animals are truly helpless in a human dominated world, and ever since I started having pets myself I begin to love them with all my heart. Maybe I should start volunteering at the humane society on the weekends? Maybe when I'm not so stressed out with things on hand I could get into a volunteer training program, maybe maybe!

Since last night I made a pretty big decision around our house, and that is, Kelly is no longer allowed on my bed. No, don't laugh, I'm totally serious. In my house, Kelly rules. However, I need to 1. get a decent night of sleep, and 2. stop changing bed sheets twice a week. It's been a lot of washing and folding even with a washer and dryer at home, so yeah, I'm changing the rules. I really feel bad though, as sleeping on my bed is obviously her favorite thing in the world and I'm depriving her of that. I can't imagine how I would feel if someone deprived me of all my purses. So far she's been sulking in her little doggie bed, she refuses to come out even during dinner time when she usually sits under my chair and ask for a little piece of whatever I'm eating. Hopefully tomorrow she will feel better...

Good news! Blossom is ADOPTED!

There are still more! This white dog is Wendy, Kelly looked worse than Wendy when I first got her, but now she blossomed like a little princess! There are still dogs waiting for a home, so please help by adopting from the Baldwin Park Animal Shelter or pass the word around! These doggies have been through so much hardship but you can help to bring a little sunshine back into their lives!

Thanks!!!

This shelter is where I adopted Bobby, he is the sweetest dog in the world and it broke my heart to see so many sweet doggies locked up and crying in the cage. Please help by adopting pets from your local animal shelter or pass the word around, thanks!

One of the reason why people love living in California is that there are a ton of delicious and unpretentious restaurants in town. I spent the afternoon getting buzzed by white wine and had about the best Thai food ever for dinner tonight.  A little ballerina joined us for dinner, she has a little music box machine inside that plays Richard Strauss' music.

On some days I love to just forget about the grand scheme of life, such as goals, accomplishments, plans or whatever else that a 28 year old is suppose to think about and just be a big kid and enjoy the sunshine and live life.

A picture of Kelly after the hair cut, I think she looks like snow white.  And, new orange vase for me, doesn't everyone need a orange vase?

A note to self: If I ever, ever own a house, I'm going to paint the backyard wall in lavender!

Bobby got his first hair cut ever today! I tried to cut his hair myself once to save money and it was so much work and didn't work out at all. This time I forked out $40 for each one of them, having two dogs can really get expensive, plus the groomer told me that they both got ear infections so I have to take them to the vet tomorrow. But, dayum they look good!

I used to take Kelly out for breakfast and the two of us often sat in the outdoor seating area of a restaurant and eat bacon. This morning I decided to take both of them for some food and fresh air, especially since Bobby now knows how to behave with a leash on. It's becoming so much easier with Bobby not pulling so hard on the leash, we could actually enjoy a long walk and I could even take pictures with two leases on my hand!
It's a beautiful day here in L.A., I know some parts of the world are sealed in ice and snow, but today feels like summer here. Warm and breezy 72 degrees, it's the perfect day!

New Year Preparation

I always like to do a bit of preparation at the end of each year to welcome the new year, although this year things were very challenging, I...
