A few pictures from Sunday. Today my hubby and I took the doggies to the dog park. Fie Fie and Uggie ran around and around for a long time while Kelly only stayed by our feet as usual, though this time she was a bit more adventurous.

After we came home, I gave all the "kids" a warm bath, cooked dinner and called it a night. While we were eating dinner, Uggie started shaking his head again. This happened when I first got him, he would shake his head, and couldn't stop, and then he would start crying. Last time we took him to an all night clinic very late at night afraid that it could be a seizure, after dropping a fortune on tests, the vet found nothing. I found this discussion forum here and one person suggested milk with sugar when the dog has head tremors, I figure sweets would do the trick. I keep a jar of raw honey in my pantry just for Uggie. Every now and then when his head tremors, I feed him a big spoonful, and the head tremor stops instantly! I have no idea why, but this actually works! Now he's down to having one every three month or so, which is not too bad. After Uggie recovered, he stayed by me and looked up at me as if to thank me for making him feeling better. I just love my little love bug!

I've been really hooked into watching Paranormal Witness. It's kind of like the ultimate nerd suspense tv show. Here is a reenactment of "ghost witnessing." Spooky right?

Reality: I was holding a squeaky toy ready for the doggies to catch!

Well I don't know what it is, four days after offering such a fun and exciting opportunity to own a bad dog, nobody took me up on the offer... I guess I will have to keep him.

So what got Uggie into such a big trouble in the first place? Well, it seems that Uggie had recently took on a hobby of peeing inside the house. Mind you that he was fully house broken, knew the drill very well, and I made sure to take him out every couple of hours to the backyard or a walk. Recently we purchased a brand new recliner from Room and Board. It was suppose to be my husband's man chair and my desperate attempt to be trendy and hip. As it turned out, I wasn't on the fast track to be trendy and hip with my new recliner, it was becoming Uggie's peeing pole.

A few nights ago he ran down stairs and I knew he probably had to go, so I ran after him to let him out in the backyard. Before I could reach him, he already peed all over the recliner, my new recliner that cost almost two grand, and there goes my hipness and replaced with hot yellow pee.  I didn't know what it was, whether it was 12:30 am and I was tired, or that I had to spend forty minutes cleaning up the recliner, I picked up a roll of paper stick and chased him all over the house to spank him.  He knew he was in trouble and so we were on a cat and mouse chase all over the house in the middle of night while my husband was trying to sleep. Finally Uggie hid in the crack between the bed and the night stand (he's too fat to fit under the bed these days) and refused to come out. I couldn't get to him so I went to bed.

The next day Uggie and Fie Fie came up to me to snuggle and I was still pretty mad and yelled at him. He knew he wasn't welcome and immediately dashed down the stairs crying all the way while Fie Fie stayed with me, but that just made me feel like an evil witch so I couldn't stay mad at him anymore. 

In the end, I could never stay mad at my doggies for too long, I regret that I got mad at all!  After all, aren't pets our best friends?

Hi, up for sale is this very very bad dog. He loves peeing on brand new couches, chewing up antique tables, getting into dirt and eating everybody's left over food.

Hello! I have been absent for a while, but that is because life has gotten busy, and sometimes running around all day for mundane tasks make very little writing material on paper.

It felt like I spent the entire month of December in the air, literally. Flying from LA to China, another city in China, back to LA. After getting off the grueling flight we got the sad news that one of our relatives had passed away, so we rushed to attend the funeral in another State right before Christmas. Getting flights and arranging pet boarding services during Christmas week was tough, but we made it and was able to say our final goodbye and spend some time to be with family. That was pretty much all the family gathering we had this holiday season, though under very sad circumstance.

Looking back, this year has been good and bad. We got Uggie as our third pet, and having three dogs changed our life style in many ways. My husband and I traveled quite a bit considering how much he also worked. After much consideration I decided to take a different career path and it was a big challenge. We had a few scary moments like the bat incident and the fire place disaster, but they were insignificant in retrospect. There has been times of good health and poor health, happy moments and sad moments, at the end of year, I am feeling just a little bit older but perhaps more grown up. Instead of making my usual list of resolution, I think this year I will just have a positive attitude, and let life happen on its own without too much planning.

I found a picture of Uggie back when he was at the animal shelter.The other images are pictures I took in the past several months. A few days ago I started teaching Uggie how to sit, after a couple of tries, he sat on command. I couldn't believe this was for real, so I tried again, he sat for me one more time. Two days later I showed him how to do "down," after a couple treats, he learned it. I am completely amazed at how smart he is!

Update: Uggie performed his new tricks in front of a group of ladies today and received a round of wild applause. I love him:)
