The first day Bobby got to my new house, everyone was taking a house tour and I turned around and saw him outside exploring the backyard. I asked Jeff, "so did you let him out?" Apparently nobody did, he just jumped out from the window and right away fell into the backyard. Kelly thinks he's crazy in general. Sometimes she tries to teach him how to behave, but the fact that she's smaller than him doesn't really help things! Bobby and Kelly are staying with my mom this week. So he's most recent mischief? Catching a real bird while being walked by my mom. She said the little bird panicked and screamed but luckily she was able to pull it out from Bobby's paw to let it flew away! Imagine Bobby's disappointment! I laughed so hard when I heard it, my little silly dog!

I love Navajo jewelry, but they are often big and clunky. I was really happy when I found this little piece for my small wrist!

Wait, is that a Knoll chair? In my music room? Hmmm, maybe I have just totally lost it. But hey, when I picked up this sucker from Greyhound, it was totally heavy and awesome. Now the question is where I'm going to put it. It can't go in the living room, because if I am not conned by some antique salesman from Holland, I will have some French chair coming in a few weeks from now. And it can't go in the kitchen, or the family room, or the bedroom. So, perhaps when I want to sit alone in the dusty scary basement and think about stuff, I will sit on it. So maybe it will go in the basement, um, ok.

I found this chair last week tucked away in the basement of a dusty antique mall. It needs some cleaning but otherwise I think it's pretty cute!

Balboa Island

Somehow I felt like this Saturday calls for hot dogs and the beach, so we had both! Things have been hard lately, with our wedding happening in a little over a month, my head spins just thinking about all the life changes and wedding preparations that's all packed in within half a year. Tonight there was none of that stuff though, we just relaxed and had so much fun.

All that glitters is not gold

Tired of my flowers? Not me, it got me to think that a few bucks a week on some flowers could make life so much happier!

I got a huge fedex package this morning and a card. It was a gift from my future father in law. Somehow he found out that I was collecting old garden rabbits and found these after on the look out for a few months! This is really the best garden gift ever!

This has been a family week, my fiance's mom came to visit us and we got to show her around the house. It got me to think how nice it would be if our parents don't live so far away! I made Chinese hot pot, which was easy to prepare and fun to eat!

Apparently, there is such a thing as the perfect trench coat! Mine is a little wrinkly as they are not new. It's just the right piece to have in my wardrobe that can pretty much make any outfit day a great outfit day!

I found a awesome pet store at Palm Springs this past weekend and got a little sailor dress for Kelly, a small doggy bandanna and white collar with tie for Bobby. Now we are ready to hit the town!

It's past mid-May, where did time go? I'm preparing a new set of repertoire and hopefully have another recital by Spring next year with my new pieces.

I spent my weekend in Palm Desert bathing in the sun and swimming in the pool with my fiance's side of the family. I'm a early person just like Jeff's mom, so the two of us went for a nice long walk along the resort each morning while everybody else snored in bed. I couldn't swim but learned to paddle a few feet anyway in the water just because I was around the pool for two days. Now it's back to real life again!

My sweet friend came to visit me today and brought me the first orchid for the house! It's way too beautiful!

I made a trip to the Korean supermarket today and got a rice cooker and lots of Korean food ingredients like seaweed and kimchi. It's such a blessing to live in LA with Korean, Chinese, Japanese, Mexican, Russian or for that matter any kind of super market you can think of. I bought roasted barley and made barley tea for the first time, very soothing for a cool day!

I'm back! After hours of long drive and getting stuck in traffic, my fiance and I made our way back to home sweet home. These are the last set of pictures, of course the experience is much more than what pictures can say, but it's good to have them around anyway don't you think? If the amateur pictures didn't do it for you, maybe this video will:)

More hikes and looking back constantly over my shoulder for mountains lions and bears. It was all good fun!

I was in such a good mood visiting Yosemite that on the first day I did three hikes in a row. The last one we did at night with flush light in hand. When we walked in, there was still some light, we could see snow reflecting on the ground, but as we went further into the forest, the sky kept getting darker and surroundings got much quieter. There was nothing but a occasional bat squeak way up in the air. I tried to look for glowing eyes of a bear or deer, but I didn't see anything at all. The stars above us were spectacular, and the feeling of being in a deep forest in complete darkness was magical.

I'm having a vacation in Yosemite this week, so hopefully I will pack in a lot of hiking and sightseeing! Meanwhile I miss Kelly and Bobby, here's a picture of him when he first came to my home from the shelter. So skinny but so cute!

My roses are starting to bloom, my gardener promised us that he's going to make our yard look like someone actually lived here, and he delivered:)

The highlight of my weekend was Christopher McDonald tabbing on Jeff's shoulder while we were standing in line to watch a movie played by him. He tabbed on his shoulder and asked, "hey what's playing tonight?" We turned our head and gasped, it was so much fun, I had no idea I was such a sucker for celebrities.

It's been kind of crazy to watch the news on tv lately, all the news that I had to offer is this plush floor cushion. It's huge enough for Kelly and me to roll around in it, I'm not a big fun for real seats like chairs and sofas, so this cushion is perfect!

New Year Preparation

I always like to do a bit of preparation at the end of each year to welcome the new year, although this year things were very challenging, I...
